I won’t go into the ins and outs of how we ended up with this wine, and I am going to keep this short because I don’t want to do my usual waffle about colours, smell and taste as I think it would be disrespectful to the wine I am writing about, G was given this wine as a Christmas thank-you present and as I write this I have Mia and Sabastian’s theme from LaLa Land on in the background which I think fills the emotions of this wine.

Villa Antinori 2016 Toscana Region £15.99 from Waitrose
Wow, very dark blood-red in colour, powerful sent on the cork, thick and heavy to drink with its Italian seductive charm, it’s got a slight Port taste to it and sends a shiver down the back of your spine.
If you can go out of your way to get a bottle you will spend a couple of hours sipping and enjoying this beautifully crafted wine.
