It’s back, yes the delightful Emilia Fox and the giant David Caves are once again on our screens as Nikki and Jack, wading through mud, picking up severed feet and cutting up bodies on an industrial scale, watched over by the big boss Dr. Thomas and the ever so brilliant Clarrissa.

On a Monday and Tuesday nights (although not happy about the F.A. cup taking centre stage last week, couldn’t the BBC put it on BBC2 ?!!) we rush the kid’s bedtime so that we don’t miss a second of the show, how bad are we!.

With the 3 little ones they know bedtime and we can get them down by 8 pm (that’s, bath, stories, cuddles & arguments about lights off, and that with the hall light on its not bloody dark!)
Squash who likes to push bedtime to 9oclock will be guided upstairs at around 8.30 giving us enough “don’t push it” time then back downstairs just in time to hear the silencium (performed by John Harle) a quick wee & cuppa tea sitting ready on the side for the show to start.

This week got us hooked up till the end, (spoiler alert!) we couldn’t believe that the murderer was … ok, I won’t reveal just in case but the message coming out of the show was very strong.
Domestic violence, attitude towards women from historic values and it is “your choice” if you need assistance when living & working with a disability.
It was great to see the relationship between Clarrisa and D.I Sid Clark build, and towards the end, and thanks to Clarrisa, he gained the confidence to be the stronger person when dealing with his bulling D.S.I., who had to belittle him, due to his need for a support worker to do his job.
Also to see Thomas not join “the boys club” and lie about his thoughts on a case involving clearing the Judge (who was an old school friend and anti-women rights), who due to the “DNA” evidence, was being investigated over an allegation of a serious assault from his female, junior work colleague.
Jack is Mr science and he loves his special torch which shows up a manner of liquids and stains, all over the place, for a joke I got one of the kid’s spy pens and in the dark went around the house searching for incriminating evidence for the kids writing on the walls.
