The great outdoors

The family are free for 2 days dad & Mum at home It’s the “WEEKEND” yes that wonderful 2 days were you have No Work! you can lie in then take a stroll down to the local convince store and buy freshly baked products and freshly squeezed juices buy a paper and get a takeaway Costa (other coffee brands are available), once home your coffee filter machine is primed and ready for the first cup of pure bliss, you sit back with your partner and both lovingly looking to each other’s eyes hand over the sports supplement and offer warm croissants.

Bang! as ASBO jumps on the bed landing on your nuts (but you have had 4 kids so not really a massive problem) you bolt upright in pain trying not to swear, the Wife now telling ASBO off for hurting Daddy then notices Squash walking in the doorway with 2 cups of tea which get knocked out of his hands by Tibbius bargaining through the door to get to mummy due to his only child syndrome and in slow motion, the tea (luckily cold as Squash forgot to bring it up as Thunderbird’s was on T.V downstairs) fly’s onto the clean bedspread…… TIBBIUS!!!! is screamed

Because the kids have rugby on a Sunday in the winter months our days out are basically Saturday, which is our day of rest due to the fun of watching the boys and Tiddly crashing and smashing into brick walls hoping that their teeth survive to chase an egg-shaped ball on a field of mud (but yes I love watching it) we try to have a big breakfast as it settles the kids and then (well see are supposed to have a plan!) we go out.

This could be a walk down to town and on to the sea to wash the smelly dog (via my wife’s hobby … The charity shop dash) or a planned visit to a National Trust property get the kids a bit of culture or an area to go sightseeing like Dartmoor as it is on our doorstep or fossil hunting like Charmouth beach.

When the Spring comes and the daffodils brighten up the sides of the road this is when more of our adventures happen, Rugby starts to wind up for the season and our plans turn to the adventurous coast we live on, camping and surfing, cycling and walking getting out there and exploring.

Come join in our weekends away and find your new adventure.

We are always looking for partners to work with, from test driving large 7 seater cars, restaurants to caravan holidays and traveling abroad. Please email me at [email protected]
